Hammocksweet Azalea (Rhododendron serrulatum) It has rather small fragrant white flowers and grows in swampy areas with acid soil. It blooms as late as September. It   attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and likely hummingbird or Sphinx moths.

Zones: 6-9

Has a delicious clove-spice fragrance

Blooms late June through July/August, extending the azalea season

Flowers are like white stars against dark green foliage

Nectar source for Swallowtail butterflies

Larval host for Brown Elfin

Size: 10-15 ft tall; 4-6 ft spread

Soil: Average, Moist, well-drained

Sun: Part Shade
